ANNUAL CAMPS
Annual Social Service Camp:

As prescribed in the CBSE Curriculum under the heading Co-Scholastic Activities and sub heading Physical and Health Education, Shramdaan, is mandatory for students appearing in class X examination. To provide an opportunity for the same and to expose the students themselves to the socially useful and productive work the school organises Annual Social Service Camps every year.

Together with ‘hands on’ work experience the students plan their activities focusing on various social issues, thereby creating awareness in the society by organizing Peace Rallies, nukkad nataks, plantation, cleaning public places etc.

SOCIAL SERVICE CAMP 2014

The school has been organizing Social Service Camps from its very inception. The purpose of these camps has been : Reaching out to the less privileged mass of the society; exposing the city children to the ground realities of the village folk and providing an opportunity to the students to interact and understand the lifestyle of the tribals thereby bringing awareness through various cultural programmes.

These camps provide a platform to the sophisticated city children to ponder on the hardships the villagers face and at the same time be grateful to the Almighty for the pleasures of life they enjoy. Moreover this programme of the school has always been appreciated by the people of the areas and looked forward to by the students themselves.

Shramdaan is mandatory for students appearing for Class X examination as prescribed in the CBSE curriculum under the heading Co-Scholastic Activities and sub heading Physical and Health Education.

Continuing the same spirit this year the social service camp was organized in the historic town of Gogunda from 6th April, 2014 to 12th April, 2014.

Together with ‘hands on’ work experience the campers put up various cultural programmes to bring about awareness among the local people thereby enabling them to ponder on the social dogmas that hinder their development and to break certain taboos that obstruct their vision in life. The campers did shramdaan in the construction of Two Pukka Houses for the needy widows of the area under the reach out programme of the school.
